B’ism Allah… Alhamdulillah, from the teachings of Mawlana Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi (QS), when we listen to complaints, it can indeed transfer energy to us. Love, hate, and jealousy are powerful energy conductors. When we meditate and contemplate, we build positive energy fields, and our whole energy field moves. Just as positive energy can conduct negative energy, listening to complaints can transfer negative energy to us.
If someone is complaining, they are emitting negative energy, and when we listen to their complaints, we are absorbing that negative energy. It’s like putting a positive charge near something negative – the negative charge will be attracted to it. This is why it’s important to be mindful of the energy around us and to preserve our own energy.
When we are in tune with the teachings of the shaykh and engage in practices such as zikr and tafakkur, our hearts become very sensitive to energy. We may feel discomfort or agitation when exposed to negative energy, such as complaints, because our finely-tuned hearts can sense the negative vibrations.
Therefore, it’s important to be mindful of the energy we are exposed to and to protect our own energy fields. This can be done through practices such as wudu, unnecessary touching, and engaging in positive spiritual practices like zikr and salawats.
