Imam Ali (AS) – Lion of Allah (AJ)

During the hijrah, two significant events occurred that shed light on the character and sacrifice of Sayyidina Imam Ali (AS). Firstly, he surrendered himself to die by laying in the bed of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was being targeted for assassination. This act of chivalry and sacrifice earned him the title “La fata illa Ali” which means “There is no victor except Imam Ali (AS).” This exemplifies his willingness to sacrifice himself for the mission of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, displaying the highest level of devotion and loyalty.

Additionally, the next part of the hijrah involved Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq accompanying Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to the cave. This signifies the importance of companionship and sacrifice in the path of following Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Sayyidina Imam Ali (AS) and Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq serve as exemplary models of devotion, sacrifice, and loyalty, teaching us how to accompany and follow the ways of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The significance of Sayyidina Imam Ali (AS) being referred to as the Lion of Allah lies in his unwavering courage, devotion, and sacrifice for the sake of Islam and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
