Husband is Imam of the Family

By having the guide, the ulul amr, the husband becomes the imam of the family. This is to ensure that the body and soul of the family members understand and submit to the guidance provided by the husband. When the husband fulfills this role with wisdom, kindness, and piety, the family members naturally submit and the perfection of the family’s spiritual reality is achieved.

In this context, the husband’s role as the imam is to lead the family with love, compassion, and wisdom, ensuring that the physical and spiritual needs of the family are met. The husband’s leadership is based on the example of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and his noble character, and it is a responsibility that requires humility, patience, and understanding.

It’s important to note that this understanding is based on the spiritual teachings of the Tariqa and is meant to create harmony and balance within the family, with the ultimate goal of nurturing a loving and spiritually fulfilling environment.
