Service, or “Khidmat,” brings immense blessings and is a fundamental aspect of the Muhammadan way. In Islam, the concept of service goes beyond just helping others; it encompasses selflessness, sincerity, and love for the creation of Allah.
Muhammadan Service is not about receiving anything in return. It’s about giving without expecting recompense or a salary. This aligns with the teachings of Islam, where acts of service are meant to be solely for the sake of Allah and to benefit His creation. When we find the orphans and feed them, give to charities, or participate in food drives, we are fulfilling the essence of service in Islam.
The importance of service is also emphasized in the hadiths, where it is mentioned that the angels and all of creation praise the servant who seeks knowledge and teaches the knowledges of the Divine. This highlights the spiritual significance of service in Islam and how it is viewed favorably by Allah and His creation.
Living a life of service is a reflection of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the propagation of that love to people. It is a means of spreading guidance and light in a world filled with ignorance and darkness. By being in service to Allah’s creation, we are also in service to the Muhammadan way, which is the highest form of knowledge to seek and propagate.

It brings immense blessings, earns the praise of the angels and all of creation, and is a means of spreading the love of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
